Can you help if i received a letter from the irs?
Yes, we can review the IRS letter and assist you in responding appropriately.
Do you help self-employed or 1099 workers?

Why do i owe taxes if my employer already took money out?
Sometimes, not enough was withheld during the year, or other income (like 1099 work) wasn’t taxed yet, leading to an amount due.
What’s the difference between a w-2 and a 1099?
A W-2 is for employees where taxes are already taken out by your employer. A 1099 is usually for independent contractors who are responsible for reporting and paying their own taxes.
What is a tax refund?
A refund means you paid more tax during the year than what you actually owed. The government is returning the excess amount to you.
Do i have to file taxes if i didn’t make much money?
Sometimes yes, especially if you want to claim credits or get money back, even if your income is below the filing threshold.
What happens if i didn’t file taxes in previous years?
You can still file them late. We can help you navigate this process to get back on track and avoid further penalties.
What does a notary actually do?
A notary public verifies your identity and witnesses your signature on important documents to help prevent fraud and ensure authenticity.
Why do i need to show id?
State law requires the notary to confirm the signer’s identity to ensure the person signing the document is who they claim to be.
Why can’t i sign the document before arriving?
The notary must witness your signature in person. Signing beforehand invalidates the notarization process.
Before your tax appointment
Please bring all tax documents (W-2s, 1099s, Social Security numbers, dependents’ information, prior year tax return if available) and a photo ID for all taxpayers. Self-employed clients should also bring income and expense records. If you received IRS letters, bring those too.
Before a notary appointment
You must bring a valid government-issued photo ID. Documents must be unsigned until you are in front of the notary, and all signers must be present. Please ensure the document is complete before notarization (except for the signature).
